What Is an E-Challan?
An e-challan is a digital traffic fine generated electronically through Safe City cameras, ANPR technology, or police tablets, instead of a handwritten paper ticket. The vehicle owner is notified by SMS, and the challan appears on the official online portal linked to the registration number and CNIC.
Less room for disputes
Because cameras capture photo or video evidence automatically, there is far less room for disputes or on-the-spot bribery compared to the old manual system. Each challan stays traceable through the vehicle’s registration, CNIC, and sometimes the chassis number.

E-challan is not run from one central system. Each province and major city operates its own portal, so the correct website depends on where your vehicle is registered.
Punjab (PSCA)
Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Bahawalpur, Sargodha and more, all on echallan.psca.gop.pk.
Islamabad (ITP)
The federal capital runs a separate system. A Punjab challan will not appear on the Islamabad portal and vice versa.
Sindh
Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Larkana, handled by Sindh Traffic Police with faceless e-ticketing in Karachi.
KP & Balochistan
Peshawar, Abbottabad, Quetta and others are adopting digital checking, though manual enforcement is still common.

How to Check Your E-Challan Online
The process is the same across provinces, only the official website changes depending on your city. Follow these steps to find and pay your challan.

Open the Official Portal
Visit echallan.psca.gop.pk for Punjab, the ITP portal for Islamabad, or the Sindh Traffic Police site for Karachi. Always use the official government website.

Enter Your Vehicle Number
Type your registration number exactly as it appears on the plate, for example LEA-1234 or LEB-20-5678 format in Punjab.

Or Use CNIC / Chassis
Alternatively, enter your CNIC number without dashes, or your vehicle’s chassis number if the portal requests it.

Complete the Captcha
Enter the captcha or security code if one appears, then click Search to submit your request.

Review Your Results
The results show the violation type, date, location, photo evidence, fine amount, and PSID for each pending or paid challan.

Download the Slip
Download or print the challan slip if you plan to pay at a bank branch or need it for your records.
Payment Key
What Is PSID and How to Generate It
PSID stands for Payment Slip ID, a unique 17 or 18 digit reference generated for each challan. Without a valid PSID, your payment cannot be processed through any bank, wallet, or app. It links your challan to Punjab’s ePay infrastructure managed by PITB.
On a Paper Slip
If you have a printed challan, the PSID is printed directly on the document.
In an SMS
The PSID is included in the text of the SMS notification sent to your registered number.

Open the JazzCash app and go to Government Payments, then select Traffic Challan or E-Challan.

Enter your PSID exactly as shown on the challan. The app pulls up the matching fine.

Save Your Receipt

As of December 2025, a first helmet violation gets a warning challan, with the second triggering the full penalty.
Mobile While Driving

Wrong-Way / One-Way
Considered serious, among the highest fines on the list.

Non-standard, missing, or unreadable plates are detected automatically through ANPR.
